Our Partners
Restorative Justice is a movement that is embedded in the larger picture of social justice. The proverb "Without justice there is no peace" is applies at all levels of our lives, from international relationships to national politics, to communities and neighborhoods, to families, and within our own individual hearts. Our partnerships are about walking the talk together with others who share our passion for "Justice with Peace, Peace though Justice." |
Restorative Resources Partners The Center for Restorative Process was founded by former Restorative Resources Executive Director M. Amos Clifford. The Center is actively exploring ways in which the principles and practices of restorative justice can be applied in a variety of settings and contexts. Projects include: developing school-based processes through which students, teachers, and parent volunteers learn the principles of restorative justice by applying them to actual issues affecting the classrom; connecting the insights of rites-of-passage and adventure education with the restorative journey; and exploring ways in which restorative justice applies to our relationships with the animals, plants, and habitats of the other-than-human world.
The Sonoma County Probation Department is a long-time partner in Restorative Justice in Sonoma County. Probation personnel were involved in the earliest stages of introducing restorative justice to our communties, and the department has remained a stalwart supporter of Restorative Justice. Many of the youths we have served have been referred by the Probation Department. We have many other partners including school districts throughout Sonoma County, the California Highway Patrol, Police Departments, the Northern California Campaign for a US Department of Peace, Sebastopol United Methodist Church, and more. |
